Tusk is a dynamic and pioneering organisation with over 25 years of experience initiating and funding conservation, community development and environmental education programmes across Africa. Time for Change was an historic global event to raise awareness of the plight of Africa’s wildlife. The simultaneous event in London, Tokyo and Johannesburg delivered powerful conservation messages and calls to action ahead of the opening of the CITES conference.
In each location, the event brought together a live audience and high profile keynote speakers: in London, Tusk Royal Patron HRH The Duke of Cambridge, TV presenter Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Charlie Mayhew, CEO Tusk; in Tokyo, global philanthropist Dr Haruhisa Handa; and in Johannesburg, Secretary-General CITES John Scanlon. We successfully facilitated the primary satellite and fibre links between all three event locations with an IP-based backup solution along with production in both Tokyo and Johannesburg. The event was streamed live to Facebook and with a total reach of 2.3 million globally.
"How can we begin to thank you and all the team who worked on producing such an extraordinary event yesterday for Tusk and indeed the wider conservation world. The coverage has been great. HRH was thrilled with the result. We simply could not have done this without your quiet reassuring expertise and professionalism throughout. ‘Thank you’ somehow feels rather inadequate!"
Charlie Mayhew, CEO & Founder
