Health Sciences Case Studies, Southampton University

The Task

We were asked by the University of Southampton to create two case studies on current Health Science students at the university, highlighting the vocational aspects of the degree courses to encourage prospective students to apply to study at Southampton and show what makes Southampton such a unique place to study.

Our Solution

In response to Southampton’s brief, we produced two case studies around students Lauren and Christina, studying Occupational Therapy and Cardiac Physiology respectively.

We wanted to show their activities inside and outside of the classroom and in clinical and non-clinical settings to demonstrate the diversity of experience the University offers and why it is one of the best places to study Health Sciences in the country. We interviewed Lauren and Christina, filming them as they studied and socialised on and off campus.

The case studies show the excellent facilities and teaching practices at the university with both Lauren and Christina speaking enthusiastically and warmly about their experiences at Southampton and how their degree courses have given them the experience and skills to go out into the workplace with confidence.
