Last year our team was set the challenge of raising money for charity with a £100 donation from the company and a day of their time.
Last Night A DJ Saved My Life is a charitable foundation creating fundraising initiatives for the electronic music industry and beyond in support of children in crisis.
Laura, our Marketing Manager has been supporting the charity as a volunteer on a number of marketing and fundraising initiatives over the last few years. Laura decided to use her funds to create the campaign messaging and Facebook ad for the promotion of the Christmas appeal. Her contribution was part of a larger campaign that included an auction and email campaign. The appeal was a huge success and Laura’s efforts contributed to raising over £23,500, which in developing countries goes a long way!
The funds raised were focused on 6 Christmas parties at the children's homes LNADJ support in Uganda, Tanzania, Indonesia and the Philippines, including 2 for special needs children. Children were provided a Christmas meal, along with presents in the form of new clothes and a day trip.
There were many other items purchased including vocational training packages, new bicycles and Christmas food parcels for families in Uganda. The money also helped to fund wheelchairs for children with disabilities and medical insurance.
