Health Sciences Advert, University of Southampton

The Task

The University of Southampton asked us to create a YouTube advert to advertise the diversity of courses offered by the Health Sciences department and to encourage prospective students to study with them.

Our Solution

The University wanted to show the full range of undergraduate courses on offer, and we spent two days filming students and their tutors from courses such as podiatry, midwifery, and occupational therapy, in scenarios showing the students putting into practice what they had learnt with the help of their tutor.

It was important that as well as showing the variety and very practical nature of all the courses that the advert clearly showed the culture of caring that is the foundation for each course offered. We filmed in a diverse range of locations including an athletics track and a multi-sensory room. The scenarios were edited into 2 x 30-second adverts shown on YouTube, as well as a 60-second version shown online.
